Circuit Judge (Crown Courts)
I was appointed a District Judge (Magistrates Courts) in March 2016 and a Circuit Judge sitting in the Crown Court in November 2024.
Both of my parents were teachers and no-one in the family had ever been involved in the law.
I went to Kingston University and was called to the Bar in 1986. I did my pupillage in London before moving to Leeds chambers in December 1987 where I practised in criminal law until being appointed a judge in March 2016
