Major Christian Storey – British Army Officer – Adjutant General’s Corps

Christian is a British Army officer, currently holding the rank of Major. He serves in the Adjutant General’s Corps, Educational and Training Services Branch.

‘Born and Bred’ in Bradford, Christian attended St Bede’s Grammar School, leaving school after completing his GCSEs in 2001. He did not continue onto A Levels as at that time he had “no intention of going to university”, and instead completed a four-year Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship.

In 2007, aged 22, he decided to change direction and pursue a degree, studying at Leeds

Metropolitan University to read History. During his time at Leeds he also studied abroad in Spain on the ERASMUS programme. He graduated with a BA(Hons) 2:1. Having gained the thirst for education, Christian then moved to London in 2010 to read a Master’s Degree at King’s College London in International Conflict. He graduated with a Distinction in 2011, and in September of the same year he commenced his military career, undertaking training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

He commissioned in Aug 2012 into the AGC (ETS). Since commissioning, he has completed a

PGCE in adult education, a Certificate of English Language Training, and also a Master’s Degree in Education and Innovation. He has served all over the UK, as well as deployments to the Falkland Islands, Afghanistan, and Palestine. He is also a keen mountaineer, climber, and skier, all of which he has been able to pursue as part of his military service.
