An avid cyclist until age and injury intervened, I am a keen armchair sports fan with particular interest in rugby, athletics, cycling and winter sports, including disability sport. Qualified scuba diver and Marine Mammal Medic. Volunteer at Tour de France Grand Depart (2014) and Tour de Yorkshire (2018). Married with two adult children, my ‘other’ hobby is writing and recording music. Ad hoc involvement in various voluntary projects.
