Cristina Tuinea-Bobe – Research and Knowledge Transfer BDM

University of Bradford, Research and Knowledge Transfer BDMCristina is a specialist in biomedical engineering and semiconductors' electronics. She is now based at the University of Bradford in the Faculty of Engineering and Digital Technologies working as Research & Knowledge Transfer Business Development Manager. Her role is to facilitate academics interaction with government and industrial funding bodies, resulting in high quality proposals and projects. Cristina is promoting University of Bradford mission to provide superior quality education with a high impact on industry, and on the country's economy, through our their make a difference alumni cohort.Cristina also leads the outstanding award-winning STEM theatre in a box programme that brings engineering to 4 to 11 years old children - a ground-breaking project which uses performance to inspire children from underrepresented groups to dream big and consider a career in engineering. Sectors worked in and routes taken: Academia   I started my career HE in Romania as a Lab assistant during my student years and continued as a Junior Lecturer. In parallel I undertook my PhD in Applied Electronics and Telecommunication. In 2007 I moved to University of Ulster as a Marie Curie Fellow. In 2010 I joined University of Bradford as a Knowledge Transfer specialist and worked with industry, academia, government, charities. In 2029 I took a more strategic role faculty-wide supporting development of Early Career Researchers, attract funding, give a better experience to students and all other stakeholders. Governor       Mentor/Coach/Champion  I acted as a governor for Crawshaw Academy/Red Kite for 4 years. Alongside my daughter we militated for school retention, improve diet and health through exercise. I enjoyed my time as a governor and found it very rewording, but my health didn’t allow me to continue.I am a mentor and coach at the University of Bradford and the Health Innovation Network based in Huddersfield.I am Champion of innovation with Translate:
